With increasing amount of species becoming endangered and extinct, the Vertebrate Genomes Project is working to sequence genomes to save endangered species. Erich Jarvis explains the science behind the project with Michael Bancroft and discusses their goal of being able to preserve genetic diversity and one day help resurrect extinct species.
